| Booting from Floppy for Professional version | - Create a bootable floppy (Download and run
Bootable
Floppy Disk Creator for Active@ KillDisk).
- Create a folder on you hard drive
called Killdisk.
- Download your file (the one from the
link you received after purchasing the
software) to this folder.
- You should have a folder called
Killdisk, with a file KD-SETUP.EXE in
it. This file is a self extracting
executable. Double click on this file.
It will extract files into the Killdisk
folder.
- You will now have a folder
containing kd-setup.exe and some other
files. Copy the other files (not
kd-setup.exe) to a floppy.
If you are short on room, the only files
required to run the program are
killdisk.exe, and dos4gw.exe. - Boot with a bootable disk.
- If killdisk and dos4gw.exe files are
on the bootable floppy, run killdisk. If
they are on a different floppy, remove
the bootable floppy and insert the
floppy that contains killdisk, and run
killdisk.

that needs to be burned to the CD AS AN IMAGE
(not as an added file).

- Put the purchased
software file on a different CD.
- Boot
from the prepared CD image (see above
#2).
- Switch CD's and run the purchased
version of the software.
Alternatively, if you are comfortable
with ISO images, there is a program
WINISO (made by a different software
company) that allows you to alter ISO
images. You could use this software to remove
the killdisk.exe file that is in the
demo ISO image, and replace it with the
killdisk.exe you got from your purchased
version. Then you should have a single
bootable CD with the purchased version
of the software. |
